Arlington and east of I-35 sit outside our regular area. We work from White Settlement Road and stay west of I-35. Enter your ZIP when you request service and we will say whether we can reach you.

How often should I mow Bermuda grass in DFW?
We mow weekly March–October, biweekly in February and November, and monthly in December and January. Extra height or a long skip can sit above the typical published range. We confirm on the first visit.
What is included in a Denmark Lawn mow?
Mow, edge along walks and drives, string-trim beds and fences, blow clippings off hard surfaces, gate check and close. Tight panels, heavy obstacle work, and a first cut that is shin-high sit above the typical range.
Is mowing priced on gross sq ft or turf-only?
On your whole lot — house and driveway included — not grass area only. Fertilization, aeration, and turf pest use grass area. Do not mix those two numbers when you request service.
When is the worst time to start a mowing route in Fort Worth?
A first cut after a long skip in July heat is the expensive one. Call before the grass is shin-high. We still take the job; it just will not sit in the typical published range.
Fertilization

How many fertilizer visits does a Fort Worth Bermuda lawn need?

What is included in a fert / weed visit?
Granular or liquid turf fertilizer, pre- and post-emergent weed control in the grass, and treatment on grass we can reach — not landscape beds. Landscape-bed weeds are a different service. Pets and irrigation timing are notes we take before we spray or spread.
Why is fertilization priced on turf sq ft instead of the whole lot?
We treat grass, not driveway, patio, house footprint, or beds. Enter grass area when you request service. Mowing uses the whole lot — a larger number.
Aeration
How much does core aeration cost in Fort Worth?
Core aeration runs $155–$1,185 per visit depending on grass area; compost or sand top dressing is quoted alongside it once we see the yard. Over 60,000 sq ft of grass we walk it.
When should I aerate Bermuda grass in Fort Worth / DFW?
Late spring through early summer, once Bermuda is actively growing — typically May through June here, not while it is dormant. Core aeration in winter on dormant Bermuda is the wrong window. We will tell you if you are calling at the wrong time of year.
What is included in core aeration?
We pull plugs. We do not run a spike roller and call it done. Topdressing sand or compost over the cores is quoted as a bundle because material volume and access change the number.
How often should I aerate a west-Fort Worth lawn?
Once a year is the usual Bermuda schedule on our clay. Severe compaction, new construction fill, or a yard that never recovered from last summer may need a second pass — we say so after we see the plugs.
Does aeration use turf sq ft or gross lot size?
Grass area only — the turf we can run the aerator on. Locked back gates, tight side yards, and severe compaction can move you above the typical range or require a walk-through first.
Turf pest
How much does turf pest treatment cost in Fort Worth?
Turf pest treatment is $126.50 per visit for up to 9,000 sq ft of grass, plus $16.51 per additional 1,000 sq ft.
When do lawn pests show up in Fort Worth?
Grubs and armyworms hit hardest late summer into fall; chinch bugs in the July heat, especially in sunny St. Augustine; ants whenever the clay is workable. Brown patches that don't green up after watering are the usual first sign.
What pest work does Denmark Lawn do?
Lawn insects only — ants, grubs, chinch bugs, and armyworms in the turf. TDA license 0826581. Interior and structural pest is a different service.
Is your pest work pet-friendly?
Tell us about dogs and kids before we treat and we'll plan the visit around them.
Do you treat inside the house?
Interior structural pest (termites, a full house spray) is not the default. Tell us what you need; we will say if we are the wrong call.
Sod
How much does sod installation cost in Fort Worth?
There's no flat rate because the pallet is only part of the job. A clean grade with working spray heads and a yard that needs dirt work and a dead system are different installs. Bring a rough square footage of the install area — not the whole lot — and we'll measure the rest on the walk-through.
What grass should I sod in Fort Worth: Bermuda, St. Augustine, or Zoysia?
Bermuda is the default west-Fort Worth sun grass. St. Augustine belongs in shade that Bermuda will not keep. Zoysia sits between those two for some yards — we will say if it is the wrong fit.
When is the best time to lay sod in DFW?
Late spring through early fall while the grass can root, with irrigation already working. Mid-winter installs on dormant Bermuda are a poorer bet.
What is included in a Denmark Lawn sod job?
The grass, the layout, and the prep we scoped — soil and grade if that was in the number, plus a watering briefing. Irrigation repairs are licensed work and priced separately if the system is down.
Can I sod over existing Bermuda in Fort Worth?
Usually no — you kill or strip what is there, then grade, then sod. Laying new Bermuda over a lumpy, weedy stand usually fails. We will say if a smaller patch-in is honest.
Landscaping
How much does landscaping cost in Fort Worth?
Rebuilds and new plantings are priced after we walk it. Plant sizes and availability, haul-off, irrigation changes, and matching what is already there drive the number. Recurring bed and shrub care is a separate service with published hourly pricing.
What landscaping work does Denmark Lawn do?
Beds and plantings around a Fort Worth house or commercial building — refresh, rebuild, edging, and the plant work you actually want. We are not a hardscape-only patio company. Send a plant list or a photo of a bed you like; we still walk it.
When should I install plants in DFW?
Fall and early spring are kinder than August. We still plant in summer if water is in place and you accept the extra risk. West-Fort Worth heat kills new shrubs that sit dry for a weekend.
Is irrigation included with a landscape install?
Only if we scoped it. Adding or moving heads is licensed irrigator work (LI28642). A bed rebuild without water is how plants fail in the first month.
Do you match existing Fort Worth limestone and plant palettes?
Yes, when that is the job. Tell us if we are matching what is already there or starting over. Native and adapted plants last longer here than a nursery cart of shade plants in full west sun.
Bed maintenance
How much does bush and bed maintenance cost in Fort Worth?
$204 per hour for a two-person crew, plus a $35 debris disposal fee per visit. A typical front-and-back visit on a standard lot runs one to three crew hours — roughly $240 to $650 all in. We confirm hours on the first visit.
How often should beds be maintained in DFW?
Monthly through the growing season is the usual home schedule. Weeds and edges do not wait for a quarterly visit in Fort Worth heat. Winter can slow down.
What is included in bush and bed maintenance?
Weeding, edging, shrub trimming as scoped, light debris, and the plant work written into the route. Mulch top-up and heavy pruning are separate unless we wrote them into the route.
Do you treat bed weeds the same as lawn weeds?
No. Turf weed control is the fert / weed service, priced on grass area. Bed weeds are hand and bed chemistry — a different invoice so we do not brown a boxwood.
Can bush and bed maintenance ride on the same day as mowing?
Often yes on a west-side route, if the spec says so. Same-day is a scheduling note, not a discount assumed in a web form.
Mulch & rock
How much does mulch or rock cost in Fort Worth?
We measure the beds, confirm depth and material, and say whether old mulch needs to come out. The same 400-square-foot bed is a different ticket in dyed hardwood, cedar, and river rock.
How often should I remulch beds in DFW?
Once a year is typical; twice if the beds cook in west sun and the color is gone by July. Rock is less often. We will talk about haul-off before dumping two inches on rotting hardwood.
What is included in a mulch or rock install?
Delivery, placement to the depth we quoted, and edging as scoped. Fabric, haul-off of old material, and wheelbarrow time for a backyard that cannot take a truck are separate lines when they apply.
Hardwood, cedar, or rock — what lasts in Fort Worth heat?
Dyed hardwood is the common look and fades. Cedar lasts longer and costs more. Rock stays put and changes the water story in the bed. We will say if rock against a wood fence is a bad idea on your lot.
Do I need landscape fabric under mulch in west Fort Worth?
Not always. Fabric can help with rock; under hardwood it often becomes a weed mat you have to fight later. We will recommend yes or no after we see the bed, not as a default upsell.
Cleanups
How much does a lawn cleanup cost in Fort Worth?
Seasonal cleanups are $204 per hour for a two-person crew, plus a $35 debris disposal fee. Volume still moves the hours — a pecan-heavy backyard is not the same as an open Bermuda lot.
When should I schedule fall and spring cleanup in DFW?
Fall is a leaf job once the trees drop; spring is leftover debris, bed reset, and sometimes a first cut after winter. Call before the pile sits wet for a month.
What is included in a seasonal cleanup?
The debris we scoped — turf, beds, and haul-off. Gutters are a separate line if you want them bundled. We confirm bag-only versus haul-off when we see the load.
How often do west-Fort Worth pecan yards need leaf service?
More than once. Pecans drop for weeks. A single November visit leaves a second pile. Two visits through the drop is the usual plan.
Do you bag leaves or haul them?
Either, as written. Haul-off volume is the usual driver. If the HOA only allows bags at the curb, say so before we load a truck you cannot park.
Holiday lights
How much does holiday lighting cost in Fort Worth?
Most basic holiday light installs with takedown run $1,000–$2,000 using lights we supply; roofline, trees, shrubs, garland, and pathway lighting are measured on the house.
When should I book holiday lights in DFW?
Early fall. December is a worse time to start the conversation if you want a reserved window. Install slots fill from late summer.
What is included in Denmark Lawn holiday lighting?
Lights supplied on first-year installs, install on roofline, trees, shrubs, and pathways as scoped, in-season service if a section fails, January takedown, and lights returned to you for storage. Timers, outlet locations, and extra wraps are scoped, not assumed.
Do you light two-story Fort Worth roofs?
Yes, with the labor that steep pitches require. That is why a ranch-house number does not cover a two-story live-oak lot from a photo.
Do you supply the lights, or can you hang ours?
Both. First-year installs use lights we supply, and after takedown they're yours to store and reuse. We'll also hang lights you already own after we inspect them for condition and safety — that work is billed hourly rather than at the flat install range.
Irrigation
How much does irrigation repair cost in Fort Worth?
Irrigation inspection is $150 for systems under 12 zones; repairs are priced after diagnosis by a licensed irrigator (LI28642).
When should I have my sprinkler system checked in DFW?
At spring turn-on, and any time a zone dies in summer. Running a broken zone all July costs more than the repair.
Who does the irrigation work — are you licensed?
Yes. Irrigation repairs in Texas are licensed work. Ours: LI28642.
What is included in an irrigation visit?
We inspect the system you called about, then give a number for the repair. Controller, valves, heads, locating backflow and boxes, and a full audit are different scopes — say which one you think it is.
Can you fix one broken head, or only full-system jobs?
One broken head is a short visit if that is actually the problem. If half the backyard is dead, we start with an audit, not a guess from a photo.
Commercial & HOA
How much does commercial lawn maintenance cost in Fort Worth?
Most Denmark Lawn commercial and HOA contracts run $800–$2,500 per month. That covers mowing, landscape maintenance, fertilization and weed control, and irrigation inspections, with visit frequency set to what the property needs and the board or manager expects. Where a property lands in that range depends on mowable acreage, bed square footage, how often you want crews on site, and the number of irrigation zones. We measure all of it on the walk-through and send a written monthly number. Project work — mulch, seasonal color, plant replacement, new landscaping, and holiday lighting — is quoted separately as an enhancement and approved before it's done. It never appears on the monthly invoice without a signed number.
Do you take over mid-contract?
Yes. Send the current scope and we'll price it to start on any date.
Can you bid from our spec without a walk-through?
We'll rough it from the spec, but we don't send a number we haven't walked. Missed bed footage is how both sides lose.
Do you handle irrigation on commercial properties?
Yes — inspections, repairs, and seasonal start/stop under our irrigator license, on the same invoice.
Do you do seasonal color, mulch, and holiday lighting?
Yes, as enhancements quoted separately so the board can approve each one.
